Walt Disney World has announced when new and refurbished attractions will be opening across all of the four theme parks this summer. The full list of openings are below, as well as new details and photos revealed for Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin and more.
Officially reopening April 8, 2026 at Magic Kingdom, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin will feature an all new targeting system. The ride will also feature a new opening scene. The scene will feature the new robot, Buddy, seen in the newly released photo above. Buddy will help us get ready with a little target practice.
The new interactive targets light up when hit, and new hand held blasters make it easier to aim with an always-on laser. Blasters will also feature lighting, sound and vibration effects.
For the first time, PhotoPass photos will now include your scores and rankings after the new version of the ride debuts.
Walt Disney Imagineering teased earlier this week that Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin will feature nods to Toy Story 5.
This classic Magic Kingdom attraction is being refreshed with all new track, as well as new lighting and visual effects, including new surprises in the Rainbow Caverns. The refurbished Big Thunder Mountain is planned to debut early May.
Celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States, this new voyage will start May 26th at EPCOT. The new film will showcase some of the nation’s natural beauty, like the Grand Canyon, as well as iconic city skylines. The new iteration of the attraction will be accompanies by a new orchestration of the classic Soarin’ musical theme.
Bluey and Bingo will make their Walt Disney World debut at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on May 26th. They will be meeting and greeting at Conservation Station.
Disney says there will be games inspired by episodes of Bluey, as well as animals native to Australia at the newly named “Jumping Junction” section of Conservation Station.
Coinciding with the new film’s theatrical release, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will offer a brand new mission beginning May 22nd.
The Mandalorian and Grogu join the story, and for the first time the crew will have a hand in deciding which planet you visit as part of your mission. Plus, new gameplay additions will allow engineers to communicate with Grogu during the mission.
Replacing the former Disney Jr show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! will open on May 26th.
Based on the current Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+ show, this live show will feature Mickey, Minnie, and their friends along with upbeat original songs and interactive fun and dancing.
While newly reimagined The Walt Disney Studios Courtyard will be ready for families on May 26th, The Magic of Disney Animation will not be opening until Late Summer.
The courtyard, designed after the real Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California, will be home to the existing The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure show and the Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! show.
Opening late summer at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, The Magic of Disney Animation will bring animated characters together in a new way. There will be a new indoor playground, meet and greets, drawing classes, and an enhanced showing of the “Once Upon A Studio” short film featuring portraits that come to life along the walls.
Character greetings to be featured include Mulan, Rapunzel, Chip n’ Dale, Donald & Daisy, Goofy, and Stitch.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster will return at Disney’s Hollywood Studios this summer with The Muppets taking over the attraction. An exact opening date has not yet been revealed.
The new version of the ride will feature music performed by The Electric Mayhem and an all-new preshow with animatronics.
Walt Disney World revealed new specials as part of this year’s Cool Kids Summer, happening from May 26th through September 8th.
Ticket deals, Dining Plan, and longer hours are just some of the newly announced offers. Florida Resident and Annual Pass discounts on resort rooms also announced for most nights July 30 through October 3, 2026. See the official announcement for more details on these offers.
